David Cameron has recently announced that Muslim women must be helped to learn the English language.
This policy appears to be an attempt at increasing integration and reducing the chance of radicalism. The £20m of funding will be targeted at “specific communities” identified by a review into segregation that is being conducted by Louise Casey, head of the government’s “troubled families” unit.
Is there any evidence that supports there theory? If you have an English speaking parent your less likely to be radicalised? I don’t see it myself, however we should welcome the funding to help anyone learn the English language.
